Service Description
The Beginner Streets & Slopes workshop focuses on learning and applying slope and street skating techniques (how to safely go up and down slopes on streets and pathways), understanding terrain types and how to assess them, and learning how to share the road. We start on a flat surface and move to more progressively challenging slopes. How far we progress will vary on how the group is doing as a whole. I will teach you all the skills taught in the intermediate class but at a slower, more controlled pace. You MUST have basic rollerskating skills to do this workshop - at least 6 months to a year of practice in a rink setting and/or outdoors. You can do this workshop even if you have only skated in a rink - I will go over outdoor skating basics . Some stamina and conditioning are required to be able to work on uphill and downhill terrain, as well as some degree of balance. You can take the Intermediate Workshop after taking this Workshop to apply your skills to more challenging terrain. Take to the streets, my friends, and share your love of rollerskating!!!
